Nudie Time

Kiva and I had a very fun time this morning out in the yard. It was so sunny and warm, I put a blanket on the grass and stripped our little nature girl for some nudie time. She loved it! especially standing on the patio busily digging dirt OUT of the planters and throwing it onto the patio. I took some great video clips of her. She doesn't like crawling on the grass with her bare knees, so she was trying to get around on her hands and feet with her bare butt stuck straight up in the air. I took pity on her eventual adolescence and didn't take any videos of that one, but I was suuuuure tempted. Kiva ate her peas out on the blanket this afternoon, and very generously shared them with Dancer until I intervened. I also got that on the video. We also went for several walks in front. Her new gambit is walking up the stairs. We walk down the driveway and then walk back up the front stairs. She is VERY determined on this route, we had to repeat it several times. [Joan]

Tyrant

Kiva is providing our usual entertainment. Kiva was being quite imperious with her demands that Ken and I both hold her hand and take her for a walk. I looked at her and said "boy you are quite the little tyrant today aren't you?" she looked me dead in the eye and said "tyrant" just as clear as a bell. Of course it was only the once, but it was too funny. When I washed her face after breakfast, she threw a fit, of course Ken appeared immediately, Kiva lunged for him, and did the five minute hold on and snuggle with grandpa thing like she did at Chili's. he is her slave. :-} [Joan]

One, Two, Three, RUN

Kiva has been a real delight again this week, we have been taking her for walks, and she loves it when we say "one, two, three, RUN", and then we "run" down the street for ten feet or so. Lots of foot pounding and encouragement from us, we aren't really going that fast, but it is fast for her. She shrieks with laughter, thinks it is the funniest thing in the world. she insists on having both of our hands. If I offer her only my hand, she looks around for Ken and if she spots him, lets him know quite clearly that her other hand needs him. too funny. [Joan]
